Who We Are

Founded in 1981, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Toronto provides a “home away from home” for the families of seriously ill children undergoing treatment. We keep families close when they need each other the most.

RMHC Toronto encompasses a House for 81 families in downtown Toronto and seven Family Rooms in hospitals across the Greater Toronto Area and in Sudbury.

The families we serve – 4,367 last year alone – come from throughout Ontario, across Canada and around the world.

RMHC Toronto is an independent charity, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and operated by staff and volunteers. The first and largest House in Canada, we are part of a network of more than 360 Houses worldwide.
