RMHC Toronto makes the House a special place to celebrate the holiday season.

During December, RMHC Toronto brings the spirit of the holiday season to life for the families we support.

“Families are going through a difficult time, so we make the House a warm, comforting and magical place to be,” says Program Coordinator, Ami Armagost.

“We organize activities that parents would typically do with their children this time of year, so they can continue family traditions even though they are away from home.”

Throughout the month, there are almost daily activities including ornament making, dessert baking and Christmas and Hannukah stories. Children also have the chance to write letters to Santa – and his elves write back! The big guy even makes a special early visit to the House so everyone can get their picture taken with him. On Christmas Eve, he also slides down our chimney and leaves presents outside everyone’s doors.

This year, RMHC Toronto Camp is running a special Holiday Camp for the first time. On December 27-28, 2018 and January 2-4, 2019, kids can attend our accredited full-day camp while School is closed for the holiday season.

Ami says that these programs and services wouldn’t be possible without our donors.

“It’s amazing to see how our donors’ generous contributions help us make our House a great place for families to be together for the holiday season.”

Thank you to those who help us make the holidays special.
