Toronto Children’s Care Inc. (“TCCI”) operating as Ronald McDonald House Charities Toronto (“RMHC Toronto”) is registered with the Canada Revenue Agency (“CRA”) as a registered charity bearing # 11885 2631 RR0001.
As a charity providing services to the community, TCCI holds all donors, partners, volunteers and community members in high esteem. While seeking donations in support of the organization’s mission, employees, volunteers and members of the Board of Directors, have an ethical responsibility to uphold the interest and well-being of TCCI’s benefactors and comply with all established policies.
TCCI responds promptly to a complaint by a donor, prospective donor, or any member of the public. The staff member receiving the complaint will attempt to satisfy the complainant’s concerns in the first instance by telephoning the donor. A complainant who remains dissatisfied will be informed that he/she may communicate directly with TCCI’s Director of Development & Communications (re donor complaints) and/or Chief Executive Officer or the Chair of the Board of Directors. The staff member will document the complaint and review within 24 hours with the Director of Development & Communications and/or the CEO.
The TCCI Board of Directors will be informed at least annually of the number, type and disposition of complaints received from donors or prospective donors about matters that are addressed in Imagine Canada’s Standards Program. In addition, they will be informed at least annually of the number, type and disposition of complaints received from members of the public regarding policy matters.
