Volunteers make the difference for families and children- Join us!
We need 250 more volunteers to fulfill essential functions of our House and Family Rooms to keep families together while going through the unthinkable.
Make a difference in the lives of the families we serve.
Learn new things, develop your skills, and express your passion.
Receive support from a strong volunteer resources team.
We can’t budge on:
- A current Vulnerable Sector Police Check

- Attendance at a hospital orientation
- Completed MMR and 2-Step TB Test within the last 6 months
- A weekly commitment for a minimum of 6 months

RMHC Toronto does offer student placements, but not through Volunteer Engagement. For more information about student placements, send your information to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please indicate in the subject line what your email pertains to.
We would never think of placing you in a role without training! We provide orientation and training for all our volunteers regardless of the position they apply to.
Our goal is to have you volunteering within three weeks from the time you first apply. However, this also depends whether we have positions available that suit your application.
You must be 18 years or older to volunteer at the House or in our Family Rooms.
First things first. Decide which position you want to apply for. Take your time while reading through our volunteer postings and make your choice. You can find the link to our online application on the Current Openings page.
