“Without the House, my family would be broken,” says mom, as the Warders prepare for their second holiday in a row at RMHC Toronto.

If the past year has taught my children anything, it’s the true meaning of Christmas. It’s not about presents. It’s about being together.

My family has faced more challenges this year than we ever could have imagined.

Maybe you know part of our story because we shared it last year.

In August 2017, my husband, Justin and I, moved into Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Toronto, with our children, Zackary, Jasmine, McKayla and Tristan. McKayla, our seven-year-old, needs a heart transplant to save her life and it can only be done in Toronto. So, we came here to wait. We expected it to be a year.

Now almost 15 months later, we are still waiting.

Please give now so RMHC Toronto can continue to support my family and other families with seriously ill children like ours at RMHC Toronto.

As my family thinks about spending our second holiday season waiting for McKayla’s heart transplant, we are comforted by one thing: We have RMHC Toronto, where we are safe and we are together.

This holiday season, one of RMHC Toronto’s most loyal and generous supporters, Michael Higgins, is once again matching all donations.*

Give now, and Michael will make it go twice as far. You’ll have twice the impact on families.

RMHC Toronto takes a huge financial burden off our shoulders. It gives us a place to lay our heads, healthy meals, a place for my children to go to school, and programs and people to keep them active and happy. It’s our home away from home, where we can cheer McKayla on and keep her strong.

McKayla lights up whenever we are around.

Without the House and your support, my family would be broken. We would have nothing.

Please give now to double your impact.

Your donation is better than any gift we could receive. It means we can stay together.

*To a maximum total contribution of $50,000.
