Taking place on Thursday, May 8th 2025 this year, McHappy Day is McDonald’s single largest fundraising day of the year!
Since its inception in 1977, McHappy Day has helped Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) support hundreds of thousands of families across Canada. A portion of proceeds from every food and beverage item sold all day on McHappy Day supports families with seriously ill children at RMHC Chapters across Canada. Last year, McHappy Day raised over $1M for RMHC Toronto- that’s the equivalent of 5,721 nights of comfort for our families!

to families with seriously ill children. By providing families with a place to stay, nutritious meals, laundry facilities and a community of support, they receive the care they need and save up to $20,000 over a month’s stay.
On McHappy Day, and every day, you can Round Up at McDonald’s. Available in the Drive-Thru, kiosk and front counter. When you Round Up your order total to the nearest dollar, 100% of the difference supports families with sick and injured children across our communities.
Leading up to, and on, McHappy Day, you can buy a pair of McHappy Day socks for $6 (plus tax) at participating McDonald’s restaurants and through the McDonald’s app to support families with seriously ill children. While supplies last.
