On Monday, July 8, our community came together for a beautiful day of golf, connection, and generosity at the annual RMHC Toronto Golf Classic — and what a day it was!
Hosted at the stunning Thornhill Golf & Country Club, this year’s event brought together friends, families, and corporate partners for a heartwarming round of golf in support of families with seriously ill children. With your help, we raised an incredible $369,000 — funds that will go directly toward providing comfort, care, and a sense of home when families need it most.
We are especially grateful to our Presenting Sponsor, Turner Construction, for leading the way with their commitment and community spirit. A heartfelt thank you to Stuart Smith and the many partners he brought on board to make this event such a powerful success.
Throughout the day, players were reminded of why we gather each year. The Nevins and Mitropoulos families, who have both stayed at RMHC Toronto while their children received life-saving treatment just steps away at the hospital, generously joined us at the Lemonade Stand to share their stories. Their presence — and their gratitude — reminded us all of the real, lasting impact of your support.
Together, you’re helping make amazing things happen for families this summer:
- Kids are attending summer camp right at the House
- Families are sharing chef-led, homecooked meals after long hospital days
- Parents are finding rest, connection, and community just steps from their child’s bedside
Last year, RMHC Toronto supported 4,331 families, offering over 27,000 nights of comfort in our 81-bedroom House and welcoming families for nearly 68,000 visits to our Ronald McDonald Family Rooms across Ontario. And thanks to the generosity shown at this year’s Golf Classic, we can continue to meet the growing need with compassion, consistency, and care.
Whether you played, sponsored, volunteered, or simply cheered us on — thank you. Your support means the world to us, and even more to the families who walk through our doors every day.
Want to help even more?
There are many ways to get involved — become a monthly donor, sponsor a meal, organize a fundraiser, or book a tour of the House to see the impact firsthand.
When you support RMHC Toronto, you’re giving families strength in the face of uncertainty. Whether they’re staying in our 81-bedroom House just steps from the hospital or finding comfort in one of our 7 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms across Ontario, every family has a story.
