Every summer, RMHC Toronto Camp provides fun, engaging programming for the children in our care. This summer, Camp was a whirlwind of creativity, exploration, and unforgettable moments for campers of all ages!

Here are just a few of the many camp highlights this summer:

children under table fort
We kicked off the season with our outdoor-themed week, where campers became little architects, using cardboard, tape, and school desks to build and personalize their very own forts and cabins. The pride in their creations was clear as they added final touches with colorful markers.
dinosaur items on table
The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) made a special appearance, bringing the wonders of the prehistoric world right to our camp. Campers immersed themselves in dinosaur-themed activities, holding replica artifacts and talking about all things dinosaur.
science teacher teaching kids
We welcomed a scientist from the Chamelea Science Centre, who dazzled the campers with mind-boggling science magic! From bubbles made with dry ice to instant snow and slime, the kids were mesmerized by the wonders of chemistry.
ipad using stop motion
Creativity took the stage again as campers tried their hand at stop-motion movies. They crafted characters from air-dry clay and directed their own mini films, showcasing their imaginative storytelling and artistic talents.
lemon volcano
Our STEAM-themed week (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) featured an explosive experiment—lemon volcanoes! With a little help from food colouring and baking soda, the campers watched their citrus creations erupt.
sushi
The fun continued with a hands-on sushi-making workshop, where everyone rolled their sushi and enjoyed a sugary sushi-themed snack to top it off.
magician teaching magic
The Magic with Mel Show left campers believing they had telekinetic powers as they witnessed spellbinding tricks.
kid enjoying the sun and splash pad
We couldn’t close out the summer without a grand finale, and our water park-themed day did not disappoint. Campers cooled off with reusable water balloons, sponges, and a splash pad, all while enjoying ice cream with their favourite toppings.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, RMHC Toronto Camp continues to provide children and families with a sense of normalcy and joy during challenging times. Accredited by the Ontario Camps Association, our free camp runs every July and August, with additional sessions during PD Days and March Break.
