We are thrilled to announce Allison Urowitz as our new Vice President of Development and Marketing, bringing over two decades of expertise in revenue development and marketing leadership. With significant contributions to the non-profit sector and the Canadian publishing industry, Allison’s unique blend of skills positions her as a key driver of growth and innovation.
Throughout her distinguished career at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) and United Way Toronto (UWT), Allison has demonstrated an exceptional ability to integrate fundraising and marketing strategies, fostering mutual benefit through deep connections with donors, partners, and colleagues.
Allison led a UWT team to grow their community campaign and evolve corporate partnerships to fund programs for children, youth and families. At TMU, she played a pivotal role in expanding philanthropy for student financial support, with a particular focus on Indigenous students. In the publishing industry, Allison inspired teams to execute impactful marketing campaigns, launching renowned authors like David Suzuki into the U.S. marketplace.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Allison is dedicated to advancing philanthropy and equity, serving on the Indigenous Education Council at TMU and on the Board of the North York Community House that supports newcomer families and clients.
Holding a Bachelor of Arts Honours from Queen’s University. Allison is passionate about experiential education, committed to continuous personal learning, and fostering inclusive cultures.
