At Ronald McDonald Houses across Canada, our commitment to protecting the health and well-being of the vulnerable population of children we serve, their families, RMHC staff, volunteers, and our communities is always our top priority.
Ronald McDonald Houses nationwide have adhered to the highest health and safety standards for a congregate setting throughout the pandemic. This has been defined by local hospital partners, health authorities, and in the best interests of all families, staff, and volunteers.
The unique features and purpose-built design of each Ronald McDonald House also play a critical role in determining how best to meet the highest standards of health and safety for families, staff, and volunteers.
At RMHC Toronto, we have access to 15 isolation apartments, with separate entry from our main House. These units allow us to safely welcome new families regardless of vaccination status, with isolation upon entry, as determined in accordance with the Ministry of Health guidance for congregate settings.
As of Monday, January 17, 2022, mandatory vaccinations for staff, essential visitors, vendors, and volunteers will be required at RMHC Toronto in order to minimize the risk of COVID-19.
Given the vulnerable populations we serve, it is imperative that Ronald McDonald Houses take every precaution within our facilities to limit the spread of COVID-19 and its variants.
As always, the safety of our families, staff, and volunteers is our top priority at RMHC Toronto.
