This year, Ronald McDonald House Toronto is thrilled to be the chosen cause for Support the Blazer, the annual community-driven initiative led by Nick Regina, CEO and Co-Founder of Spark Financial Group. Now in its fourth year, this unique campaign combines bold style, fun, and philanthropy — all to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families.
A Visit to the House
Nick recently joined us at the House to spend time with families during our Coffee Talk program — a weekly activity designed to bring parents together while children enjoy creative play. That afternoon, the kids were deep into Play-Doh creations when a little spontaneous fun broke out: a few of them slipped on blazers and put on an impromptu fashion show.
What is Support the Blazer?
Support the Blazer challenges participants — collectively known as the Good People Army — to wear a signature blazer for 30 days while raising awareness and funds for charity. From individuals to teams, everyone can take part by showing their support, rallying their networks, and even purchasing a commemorative pin to proudly wear their commitment.
“Support the Blazer is about giving back, creating meaningful change, and leaving the world a better place than we found it,” says Nick Regina. “When you put on that blazer, you’re not just making a fashion statement — you’re joining a community of incredible people united by purpose, generosity, and the desire to make a real impact.”

Why it Matters
For families with a seriously ill child, the costs of staying close to treatment in Toronto can be overwhelming — over $24,000 in just the first month, which is nearly a third of the average Ontario family’s disposable income. Ronald McDonald House Toronto provides a home away from home, just steps from the hospital, covering meals, laundry, and emotional support.
Every dollar raised through Support the Blazer helps ensure that families can stay together when it matters most. It’s not just about a blazer or a statement — it’s about keeping parents and children close during the most challenging moments of their lives.

There are a few ways to get involved and support Ronald McDonald House Toronto through the campaign:
