Yvonne shares why she decided to include RMHC Toronto in her Will.
Yvonne is among a growing number of donors who are creating a lasting legacy by designating us in their Will. She shares why she decided to include RMHC Toronto in her Will.
I give what I can, when I can. My heart goes out to children and families that are suffering. Every time I give, I feel good about helping children and families right now. By giving in my Will, I’m making a promise to help children and families forever, and that feels really good in my heart.
I was invited for a tour of the House, and let me tell you, it is just marvellous. These kids—they are just so brave! And being in this lovely home with their families, you know that it takes a big load off. It’s one less thing that families need to worry about when their precious child is seriously ill. I also love seeing children and families when they are leaving the home and they are happy and healthy. It’s just great to see children joyful again!
And I’m also very impressed with the efficiency of RMHC Toronto. I know that my money goes to do good work. Raised in the depression, I’ve always been very frugal. I’ve been a very independent person all my life. I never had a lot of education but I’ve always had a lot of moxie.
When I think about the future, I hope that the gift in my Will continues to help people. Helps a seriously ill child get better. Helps a family emotionally. I’ve been blessed with my own good health and the means to help others.
